உள்ளத்தையே கோயிலாகக் கொண்டு சிவபெருமானுடன் குடியிருந்து வாழ்பவர், எல்லா உலகங்களுக்கும் திருவருள் செய்வதில் தாயை விடவும் நல்லவராவர். பிறர் இவர்மீது கோபம் கொண்டாலும் இவர் நன்மையே செய்வார். தீவினையாளர்களின் தீவினைத் துன்பம் நீங்க, நோய்க்கு மருந்து கொடுப்பது போல் அவர்களுக்குத் துன்பம் கொடுத்து, தீயை விடவும் கொடியராவர் என்கிறது பாடல்.
The one who takes the heart itself as a temple and dwells there together with Sivan proves kinder than a mother in showing grace to all the worlds. Even if others turn their anger on him, he does only good. But to remove the suffering of their evil deeds from those bound by evil deeds, he gives them pain, the way medicine is given for disease, and in that, the verse says, he proves fiercer than fire.
