  குருவாகிய நந்தியைத் தொடங்கி வைத்து மேலே எழுந்து அங்கே கூடி நின்றால்,

  If one begins with Nandi as guru, rises upward, and stands united there,

• வரி 2Line 2

  உலகத்தார் யாவரையும் ஆட்கொள்ளும் திருவருட் செல்வம் உடையவன் ஆவான்.

  that yogi comes to possess the wealth of divine grace that draws the whole world under its sway.

  அந்த யோகத்தை மேற்கொள்ளாமல் உலகியல் அறிவையே நினைத்துக்கொண்டிருப்பவர்,

  And the one who does not take up that yoga, and instead dwells only on worldly knowledge,

  பிறப்பு இறப்புத் துன்பத்திற்கு ஆட்படும் தீவினையாளர் ஆவார் என்கிறது பாடல்.

  becomes, the verse says, one bound by evil deeds, subject to the sorrow of birth and death.
