There is no one who has known the great benefit of becoming God oneself; hear of it. In the mantra Om, the one who is the sound called akara is Shiva; she who is the light called ukara is Shakti; and that which is the life called makara is the soul. Realizing that the God who is present within the places inside every living being, as power, as light and as sound, is the very meaning of the three letters within the pranava mantra, and uniting one's own life-force with those places, one becomes God.
