முறையாகச் செய்யும் அகயோகப் பயிற்சியால் சாதிக்கக்கூடிய விஷயங்களை அறியாமல், வேறு பல வழிகளில் அதைச் சாதிக்க முயற்சி செய்பவர்கள், கையில் அகல் விளக்கு இருந்தும் அதை அறியாமல் தீப்பந்தத்தைத் தேடி அலையும் மூடர்களைப் போன்றவரே. உயிர்களின் உடலுக்குள்ளேயே தூங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் ஒரு நெருப்பை எழுப்பி, உள்ளே எடுத்துச் சென்று, உச்சியில் இருக்கும் சுடரில் பொருத்தி, பெரிய விளக்காகப் பற்ற வைத்து, அஞ்ஞானம் எனும் இருளை அகற்றி உண்மை ஞானத்தை உணர முடிந்த சாதகர்களுக்கு, காலம் சக்கரம் போல் ஓடிக்கொண்டே இருக்கும் இந்த உலகத்தில், எதனாலும் பாதிக்கப்படாமல் என்றும் நீடித்து வாழும் வல்லமை கிடைக்கும்.
Those who do not know what can be accomplished through the properly performed practice of inner yoga, and strive to accomplish it by many other ways, are just like fools who wander searching for a firebrand while an oil lamp sits, unnoticed, in their own hand. Practitioners who can awaken a fire that lies sleeping within their own body, carry it within to the flame at the crown, kindle it into a great lamp, dispel the darkness called ignorance, and realize true knowledge, gain the power to live on for long ages, unaffected by anything, in this world where time runs on like a wheel.
