For the chariot that is life's body, there are six root chakras. The wind, energized through these six root chakras, goes to the seventh root, the sahasrara, and, once it mingles there with the divine power, the nectar that forms descends from there and comes to fall above the inner tongue, the eighth place. The verse says that while one drinks that falling nectar and remains steeped in bliss, the nine openings of the body, vast as a whole realm, stay joined with the breath.
