பார்த்தல், கேட்டல், சுவைத்தல், நுகர்தல், உணர்தல் ஆகிய ஐம்புலன்களில் செல்லும் எண்ணங்கள் எல்லாம் சிவமாய் உணர்ந்து, முக்தி நிலையை அறிந்து அதிலேயே லயித்திருப்பவர்கள் சிவமுக்தர்கள் ஆவார்கள். இவர்கள் ஐந்து புலன்களின் உணர்வுடன் தொடர்பற்றவர்கள் ஆகையால் தூய நிலையை அடைந்து, அவர்களின் எண்ணம் சிவனோடு ஒன்றுபட்டு ஆனந்த நிலையில் நடனம் ஆடும்.
Those whose thoughts, wherever they go among the five senses, sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch, come to feel all as Shiva, and who know the state of liberation and remain dissolved in it, become Shiva-muktas. Because they have no connection with the awareness of the five senses, they attain the pure state, and their thought, united with Shiva, dances in the state of bliss.
