  காளையை வாகனமாகக் கொண்டவனும், உமையவள் காண ஆனந்த நடனம் புரிபவனும்,

  He who has the bull for his mount, who dances in bliss for Uma to behold,

  அழகிய மலரின் நறுமணம் கமழும் படர்ந்த சடையுடையவனுமான சிவபெருமானின் திருவடிகள் எப்படி இருக்கும் என்று காணும் விருப்பம் கொண்டு தேடுபவர்கள்,

  and whose spreading matted locks are fragrant with beautiful flowers, those who go seeking, wishing to see how his sacred feet might be,

  அமரர்களின் தலைவனாகிய இறைவன் இருக்கும் இடத்திற்கே செல்வார்கள்.

  will go to the very place where God, the lord of the immortals, is.

  அவ்வாறு வருபவர்களுக்கு என்ன வேண்டும் என்று அறிந்து, அதை அருள்புரிவான் சிவபெருமான்.
