  மூன்று குணங்களான இராஜசம், தாமசம், சாத்வீகம் ஆகியவற்றால் ஏற்படும் மாயை என்னும் இருளை நீக்க,

  To remove the darkness of illusion that comes of the three qualities, rajas, tamas and sattva,

• வரி 2Line 2

  மூச்சுக்காற்றை உள்ளே சிக்கெனத் தடுத்து அடக்கிப் பயிற்சி செய்வோர்க்கு,

  for those who firmly restrain and hold the breath within and practise so,

• வரி 3Line 3

  அத்தகைய பயிற்சியில் நிலைத்திருப்போர்க்கு,

  steadfast in such practice,

• வரி 4Line 4

  உள்ளே சிவபெருமான் உயிர்நிலையை உறுதியாக நிலைநிறுத்துவார்.

  Lord Shiva steadies and establishes the vital state within them.
