உரைmeaning
பேசாமல் மௌன நிலையில் இருப்பவர்களின் மனத்தில் பிராணன் என்னும் பெரும் செல்வம் உள்ளது. அவ்வாறு மௌன நிலையில் இல்லாமல் பேசிக்கொண்டே இருப்பவர்கள் அந்தப் பிராணனாகிய செல்வத்தை வீணாக்குகின்றனர். பேசாமல் மௌன நிலையில் இருப்பவர்கள் தங்கள் அறிவை அந்தப் பிராணனாகிய செல்வத்தின்மேல் செலுத்தி, அதைச் சுழுமுனை வழியாகத் தலை உச்சியிலிருக்கும் சகஸ்ரதளத்திற்குக் கொண்டு சென்று அந்தச் செல்வத்தை அடைவார்கள் என்கிறது பாடல். அவ்வாறு அச்செல்வத்தைச் சுழுமுனை வழியாக மேலே கொண்டு செல்லும் பயிற்சியைச் செய்யாமல், பெரும் செல்வத்தை மட்டும் அடைய நினைப்பவர்கள் கோழையும் ஆவர் என்கிறது பாடல்.
In the mind of those who stay silent, without speaking, dwells the great wealth called prāna. Those who do not keep such silence and go on speaking waste that wealth which is prāna. The verse says that those who stay silent turn their awareness upon that wealth which is prāna, carry it through the sushumna to the sahasrāra at the crown of the head, and so reach that wealth. And those who wish only to reach that great wealth without carrying it up through the sushumna in this way, the verse says, become cowards too.
