கடைவாச லைக்கட்டிக் காலை எழுப்பிஇடைவாசல் நோக்கி இனிதுள் இருத்திமடைவாயிற் கொக்குப்போல் வந்தித் திருப்பார்க்குடையாமல் ஊழி இருக்கலு மாமே.
உரைmeaning
மூலாதாரத்திலிருக்கும் துவாரமாகிய மலத்துவாரத்தை இறுக்கி வைத்து, உள்ளே இழுத்த மூச்சுக்காற்றை முதுகெலும்பின் வழியே செல்லும் சுழுமுனை வழியே செலுத்தி, தொப்புளுக்குக் கீழே இருக்கும் சக்கரங்களின் நடுவில் மனதை வைத்து, மடைவாயில் காத்திருக்கும் கொக்குப் போல இறையருளால் கிடைக்கும் ஒளியை அடையும் வரை இறைவனை வணங்கி இருப்பது பற்றிச் சொல்கிறது பாடல்.
The verse speaks of keeping the aperture at the mūlādhāram, the anal opening, tightly held shut, sending the breath that was drawn in through the sushumna that runs along the spine, setting the mind at the middle of the chakras below the navel, and, like a crane waiting at the mouth of a sluice, worshipping God until the light that comes by his grace is reached.

Binding the outer gate, the anal opening, shut, and raising the breath upward,

sending it toward the middle gate, and keeping it pleasantly settled there,

மடைவாயில் காத்திருக்கும் கொக்கு போல வணங்கி நிற்பவர்களுக்கு,
for those who stand there worshipping, like a crane waiting at the mouth of a sluice,
