  பிராணாயம முறைப்படி பூரக முறையில் மூச்சுக்காற்றை இடது மூக்குத்துவாரத்தின் வழியாக இழுத்து, இரேசக முறையில் வலது மூக்குத்துவாரத்தின் வழியாக மெல்ல வெளியே விட்டு,

  There is no one who knows the measures of pranayama: drawing the breath in through the left nostril by pooraka, releasing it slowly through the right nostril by rechaka,

  கும்பக முறையில் வயிற்றில் அடக்கி வைத்திருக்கும் அளவுகளைத் தெரிந்தவர்கள் யாரும் இல்லை.

  and holding it in the belly by kumbhaka, these measures no one knows.

  அவ்வாறு மூன்று முறைகளின்படி மூச்சுக்காற்றை இழுத்து அடக்கி வெளியே விடும் அளவுகளைத் தெரிந்தவர்களுக்கு,
