உரைmeaning
ஞானம் பெற்ற குரு இருந்தும் அவரை விட்டுவிட்டு, கன்மவழியில் நடப்பவரைக் குருவாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்வது, கையில் இருந்த மாணிக்கத்தைத் தவற விட்டு, காலில் பட்ட கல்லை எடுத்துச் சுமப்பவனின் விதிக்கு ஒப்பாகும். அது மட்டுமல்லாமல், கையில் இருக்கும் நெய், பால், தயிரை விட்டுவிட்டு, தனக்கு நன்மை செய்யாத உணவைத் தேடி உண்பவனுக்கும் ஒப்பாகும்.
Even while a guru who has attained knowledge is present, to leave him and accept as guru one who walks only the path of karma is like the fate of one who lets slip the ruby that was in his hand and instead picks up and carries the stone that struck his foot. And not only that, it is also like one who leaves the ghee, milk and curd already in hand, goes searching for food that does him no good, and eats it instead.
