உரைmeaning
உண்மையான ஞான வழியைக் காட்டிய சற்குருவின் முன்னிலையில் பொய் பேசினால், இருக்கும் நல்லொழுக்கம் குன்றிப் போவதோடு, அவர் கொடுத்த ஞானமும் நிலைக்காமல் அழிந்துவிடும். தொன்றுதொட்டு வழிவழியாய் வந்த ஞானத்தை அடையும் வழிமுறைகளும் மறக்கப்பட்டு, ஆன்ம வளர்ச்சிக்கான மற்ற வழிகளும் கெட்டு, வறுமையே மிஞ்சும்.
If one speaks falsely before the true guru who showed the path of true knowledge, the good conduct one has will diminish, and the knowledge given by that guru too will not remain but will perish. The ways of attaining knowledge that have come down age after age from ancient times will be forgotten, the other paths for the growth of the soul will also be ruined, and only poverty will remain.
