  மாதருடன் கூடியும் ஊடியும் அச்சிறிய இன்பத்தையே நினைத்து,

  Those who unite and quarrel with women, thinking only of that small pleasure,

• வரி 2Line 2

  அந்த வேட்கையை உள்ளத்தில் வைத்திருப்பவர்கள்,

  and hold that longing in their heart,

• வரி 3Line 3

  வேதம் கற்று அறிந்த வேதியர்களாக இருந்தாலும்,

  even if they are brahmins learned in the Vedas,

• வரி 4Line 4

  தாமே இன்னொரு உயிரை உருவாக்குகின்றோம் என்கிற தவறான எண்ணத்தில் சிவபெருமானைப் பற்றிய எண்ணங்களை மறந்துவிடுவார்கள்.
