  உயிர்கள் பிறக்கும்போது உள்ளத்தில் பலவகைக் குணங்கள் உள்ளன, அவை தாமசம், இராசதம், சாத்வீகம் என்ற மூன்று வகைக் குணங்களுக்கு உட்பட்டவை; தாமச குணங்கள் மேலோங்கியிருக்கும் போது உள்ளத்தின் தீர்த்தம் கறுப்பாக இருக்கும்.

  When living beings are born, many kinds of qualities exist within the heart, falling under the three gunas, tamas, rajas and sattva; when tamas qualities prevail, the inner sacred water is dark.

  அந்தத் தாமச குணம் இராசத குணமாக மேலோங்கும்போது அத்தீர்த்தம் சிவப்பாக மாறும்.

  When that tamas rises into rajas, that water turns red.

  அந்த இராசத குணம் சாத்வீக குணமாக மேலோங்கும்போது அத்தீர்த்தம் வெளுப்பாகி, மேலெழுந்து நிறைவை அடையும்.

  When that rajas rises into sattva, that water turns clear and white, and rises to attain fullness.

  அவ்வாறு நிறைவை அடைந்ததும், தமது உடலாகவும் உடலுக்குள் உயிராகவும் இறைவனே இருப்பதை உயிர்கள் உணரலாம்.

  On attaining that fullness, living beings can realize that God himself is both their body and the life within their body.
