• வரி 1Line 1

  ஒழுக்கத்தில் செல்லும் வழியை அறியாமல் ஐந்து மாபெரும் பாவங்களைச் செய்கின்ற மகா பாவியாக இருந்தாலும்,

  Even one who does not know the path of right conduct and is a great sinner who has committed the five great sins,

  குற்றமில்லாத சிவனடியார்களுக்கும் தூய்மையான சிவஞானத்தைப் போதிக்கும் குருக்களுக்கும்,

  if he gives to blameless devotees of Shiva and to gurus who teach pure Shiva jnanam,

• வரி 3Line 3

  காமம் முதலாய ஐந்து தீய குணங்களைக் கைவிட்ட சிவயோகியர்களுக்கும் தரக்கூடிய தானத்தைத் தந்து,

  and to Shiva yogis who have given up desire and the other four bad qualities, giving them fitting alms,

  அதன் பயனால் ஞானம் பெற்றுவிட்டால், மகா பாவங்கள் செய்திருந்தாலும் நரகத்திற்குப் போக மாட்டார்கள்.

  and through the fruit of it attains wisdom, he will not go to hell even though he has committed great sins.
