ஆணவம் முதலான ஐந்து மலங்களும் இருப்பதால், கண்ணால் பார்த்தும் அறியாமையால் அதில் உள்ள உண்மையைத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளாதவர், ஒளி, ஒலி முதலான அனைத்து இறைத் தத்துவங்களையும் உணரமுடியாது. ஆணவம் முதலான ஐந்து மலங்களையும் கடந்தவரே, உயர்வான இடத்தில் இருக்கும் சிவசக்தித் தத்துவத்தை உணரமுடியும்.
Because the five impurities beginning with egoism remain, those who, out of ignorance, fail to know the truth even while seeing it with their eyes cannot realize any of the divine principles beginning with light and sound. Only those who have crossed beyond the five impurities beginning with egoism can realize the Siva-Sakti principle that stands in the exalted place beyond them.
