உரைmeaning
விஞ்ஞானர் என்போர் ஆணவ மலத்தை மட்டுமே கொண்டு, கன்மம், மாயை ஆகிய இரு நிலைகளுக்கும் மேலே இருப்பவர். இவர்கள் கன்மத்திலோ மாயையிலோ சிக்கமாட்டார். மெய்பிரளய அகலர் என்போர் ஆணவம், கன்மம் ஆகிய இரு மலங்களைக் கொண்டவர்; இவர்கள் மாயையில் சிக்கமாட்டார். அஞ்ஞானர் என்போர் இம்மூன்று மலங்களும் கொண்ட மற்ற அனைவரும் ஆவர். சித்தர்களைத் தவிர்த்து, விஞ்ஞானர், மெய்பிரளய அகலர், அஞ்ஞானர் என மொத்தம் ஒன்பது வகையினராக இருக்கின்றனர்.
The vinjnanar are those who carry only the impurity of egoism and stand above the two lower states of karma and maya; they are never caught in either karma or maya. The mei-piralaya-agalar are those who carry the two impurities of egoism and karma; they are never caught in maya. The agnyanar are all others who carry all three impurities. Apart from the siddhars, the vinjnanar, the mei-piralaya-agalar and the agnyanar together make nine kinds.
