  அசையா சக்தியாகிய சிவமும், அசையும் சக்தியாகிய சக்தியும், தங்கள் திருவிளையாட்டால், ஆன்மா ஆசைப்படும்போது அதைத் தீர்த்துக்கொள்ளச் செய்ய வினைகளைச் சேர்த்து உயிராக்கி உலகில் பிறக்கவைக்கின்றனர்.

  Siva, the unmoving power, and Sakti, the moving power, by their sacred play, when a soul comes to desire, join deeds to it to let it work out that desire, turn it into a life, and cause it to be born in the world.

  அந்த உயிருக்குச் சுத்த மாயை, அசுத்த மாயை என்ற இருவகை மாயைகளையும் வினைகள் தீரும்வரை உடலுக்குள் வைத்துப் பூட்டுகின்றனர்.

  For that life, they lock within the body, until its deeds are worked out, both kinds of maya, pure maya and impure maya.

  பின்பு உயிர்களின் எண்ணத்தில் புகுந்து, அவ்விரு மாயைகளையும் நீக்குகின்றனர்.

  Afterwards they enter into the thinking of souls and remove both those mayas.

  உயிர் உருவாகும் முன் இருந்த துரியம் எனும் ஆழ்நிலை உறக்க நிலையில் அந்த ஆன்மாவைச் சிவமாக்குகின்றனர்.

  And make that soul Siva again in the deep, sleep-like state called thuriyam in which it existed before it took on life.
