  குயில் தனது முட்டையைக் காக்கையின் கூட்டில் கொண்டுபோய் இட்டுவிட்டுத் திரும்பிவிடும். காக்கைக்குக் குயிலின் முட்டைக்கும் தன் முட்டைக்கும் வேறுபாடு தெரியாததால், அதைத் தன் குஞ்சு என்றே நினைத்து,

  The cuckoo carries its egg to the crow's nest, lays it there, and leaves. Since the crow cannot tell the cuckoo's egg from its own, it takes it for its own chick,

  எள்ளளவும் சந்தேகமின்றி அடைகாத்துப் பொரித்து, அது கூவும் வரை அது குயிலின் குஞ்சு என்பதை அறியாமல் வளர்க்கும்.

  sits and hatches it without the least suspicion, and raises it without knowing it is the cuckoo's chick until it calls out.

  அதுபோலவே, இறைவன் தாயின் கருவில் வைத்த உயிரைத் தாய் தன் சொந்தக் குழந்தை என்றே எண்ணிக்கொண்டு, சிறிதும் சந்தேகமின்றி, உடல் அதிரும் வேலைகள் செய்யாமல் கருவைப் பாதுகாக்கிறாள்.

  In the same way, the mother takes the life that God has placed in her womb as her own child, and without the least suspicion, guards the embryo, avoiding work that would jar the body.

  அது ஏன் வந்தது எதற்கு வந்தது என்ற எண்ணமே இல்லாமல், இறைவனின் உயிரைத் தன்னுடைய சொந்த உயிர் என்று பந்தபாசம் என்னும் மாயையால் எண்ணிக்கொண்டு வளர்க்கிறாள்.

  With no thought at all of why it came or for what purpose, she raises it, by the maya called bondage and attachment, thinking the life that is God's own to be her own.
