  ஆன்மா பிறவி எடுப்பதற்காக, நெற்றிக் கண்ணையுடைய சிவனின் திருநாமமாகிய ஐந்தெழுத்தும் (நமசிவாய), பிரணவமும் (ஓம்) கலந்து,

  So that the soul may take birth, the five-lettered sacred name of Shiva of the forehead eye, Namasivaya, mingled with Pranava, Om,

  வினைப்படி பந்த பாச மாயையை வைத்து ஆன்மாவைச் சேர்த்து உடம்பாகச் செய்த இறைவனே,

  and the Lord who set the bond of attachment and maya in place according to deeds, and joined the soul to make it a body,

  அந்த ஆன்மா தனது பந்த பாச மாயையை நீக்கி இறைவனிடம் வந்து சேருவதற்கான வழிமுறைகளை வேதங்களாகக் கொடுத்து அருளினான்.

  is the very one who granted the Vedas as the means by which that soul may remove its bond of attachment and maya and come to be united with the Lord.
