  அனைத்திற்கும் தலைவனாகிய சிவம் ஒருவனும், அவனிடமிருந்து நன்மை புரியத் தோன்றிய சிவசக்தியாகிய இருவரும் சேர்ந்து,

  Shiva, the one lord of all, and Shakti, the two who came forth from him to do good, joined together,

  அசுத்த மாயையில் பிறக்கும் மனிதப் பிறவியோடு சுத்த மாயையைக் கூட்டிச் சேர்த்துத் தேவர்களைப் படைத்தனர்.

  and combined pure maya with the human birth that is born in impure maya, and created the gods.

  இந்தத் தேவர்கள் இறைவனிடம் வந்து, எங்களுக்கு இடும் பணி என்ன என்று கேட்டுப் பெற்று, அப்படியே செய்வதாக ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு அதைச் செயல்படுத்துகின்றனர்.

  These gods come before God and ask what task he sets for them, take it up and accept it, and carry it out just so.

  இந்தத் தேவர்கள் அனைவருக்கும் தத்தமது பணிகளைக் கருணையால் அருளுபவன், ஆதியிலிருந்தே இருக்கின்ற இறைவன் ஆவான்.
