  ஆகாயம், நீர், நெருப்பு, காற்று, மண் ஆகிய பஞ்சபூதங்களும், சிவன், மகேசுவரன், உருத்திரன், திருமால், பிரம்மன் ஆகிய பஞ்சதெய்வங்களும், என்றும் அழியாத மாபெரும் சக்தியினுள்ளிருந்தே தோன்றியவர்களாகும்.

  Space, water, fire, air, and earth, the five elements, and Shiva, Maheshwara, Rudra, Vishnu, and Brahma, the five deities, all came forth from within the same great, undying power.

  பஞ்சதெய்வங்களில் உருவமில்லாமல் அருவமாக முதலில் தோன்றிய சிவனிடமிருந்து தூல உருவமுள்ள மகேசுவரன் தோன்றி, மகேசுவரனிடமிருந்து உருத்திரன் தோன்றி, உருத்திரனிடமிருந்து திருமால் தோன்றி, திருமாலிடமிருந்து பிரம்மன் தோன்றினான்.

  Among the five deities, from Shiva, who first appeared formless and without shape, arose Maheshwara who has a gross form; from Maheshwara arose Rudra; from Rudra arose Vishnu; and from Vishnu arose Brahma.

  அதுபோலவே பஞ்சபூதங்களில் உருவமில்லாத அருவமாக முதலில் தோன்றிய ஆகாயத்திலிருந்து சூட்சும உருவமான வாயு தோன்றி, வாயுவிலிருந்து தூல உருவமான நெருப்பு தோன்றி, நெருப்பிலிருந்து நீர் தோன்றி, நீரிலிருந்து நிலம் தோன்றியது.

  In the same way, among the five elements, from space, which first appeared formless and without shape, arose air in its subtle form; from air arose fire in its gross form; from fire arose water; and from water arose earth.

  இவை அனைத்தும் சேர்ந்தே உலகம் என்ற பொருள் தோன்றி, கண்ணால் காண முடியும்படி அளிக்கப்பட்டது.

  All of these together brought forth the thing called the world, and it was given so that it could be seen with the eye.
