அறியாமையால் இறைவனை அழிக்கத் தக்கன் செய்த பெரிய வேள்வியை, இறைவனின் அவதாரமான வீரபத்திரர் தகர்த்தழித்தார். அப்போது அங்கு வந்திருந்த திருமால், பிறைச் சந்திரனைச் சூடியிருந்த வீரபத்திரர் இறைவனின் அவதாரம் என்பதை உணராமல், வேள்வியை முறையின்றி அழித்துவிட்டதாக எண்ணி, தன் சக்கராயுதத்தை வீரபத்திரரின் பிறைசூடிய தலையை நோக்கி ஏவினான். அதைக் கண்ட வீரபத்திரர் தம் கண்களில் நெருப்பு உமிழ, அந்தச் சக்கரத்தை நோக்கி வாயிலிருந்து ஒரு உக்கிரமான மிரட்டல் விடவே, சக்கரம் வலிமையிழந்து கீழே விழுந்தது. பாடல் #369இல் உள்ளபடி, தன் ஆற்றலின் ஒரு பகுதியாக இருந்த சக்கரத்தையும் அதன் சக்தியையும் திருமாலுக்குக் கொடுத்தபோதும் சக்கரமும் அதன் சக்தியுமாக இருப்பவன் இறைவனே ஆகையால், இறைவனின் அவதாரமான வீரபத்திரரின் கட்டளைக்கிணங்க அச் சக்கரம் வலிமையிழந்து கீழே விழுந்தது.
Out of ignorance, Daksha performed a great sacrifice to destroy God, and Veerabhadra, an incarnation of God, broke and destroyed it. Thirumal, who was present there, did not realize that Veerabhadra, who wore the crescent moon, was an incarnation of God, and thinking that the sacrifice had been wrongly destroyed, hurled his discus weapon at Veerabhadra's crescent-crowned head. Seeing this, Veerabhadra let fire pour from his eyes, and let out a fierce roar of warning from his mouth toward that discus, so that the discus lost its power and fell to the ground. As told in verse 369, though the wheel that was a part of God's own power, and the power in it, were both given to Thirumal, it is God himself who remains as the wheel and as its power, and so the discus lost its power and fell at the command of Veerabhadra, who was God's own incarnation.
