  உலகம் முழுவதும் நிறைந்திருந்த குளிர்ந்த பிரளய கடல் நீர் வடிந்தது.

  The cold pralaya sea water that had filled the whole world receded.

  வானகத்தவரும் தேவர்களும், கடல் போன்ற தமது எண்ணங்களில் சிவத்தைப் பற்றிய நினைவே வெள்ளம் போல எப்போதும் சூழ்ந்திருக்க வேண்டும் என்று எம் பிரான் என்று வேண்டினர்.

  The heaven-dwellers and the devas prayed, calling him our Lord, that the remembrance of Shiva should always surround their sea-like thoughts like a flood.

  கடல்நீரை விண்ணகம் வரை பரவச் செய்த இறைவனும், கடைக்கண் பார்வையால் அருள் புரிந்து பேரொளியாய் எழுந்தருளினான்.

  The Lord, who had made the sea water spread up to the very sky, granted his grace with a sidelong glance and rose up as a great light.

  இப்படிப்பட்ட பிரளயத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி, பின்னர் அனைவருக்கும் அருள் செய்த இறைவனின் திருவுள்ளத்தை யாரும் அறியவில்லை.
