தெளிந்தார் கலங்கினும் நீகலங் காதேஅளிந்தாங் கடைவதெம் ஆதிப் பிரானைவிளிந்தா னதுதக்கன் வேள்வியை வீயச்சுளிந்தாங் கருள்செய்த தூய்மொழி யானே.
உரைmeaning
இறையருள் இல்லாமல் தக்கன் செய்த வேள்வியில் கலந்துகொண்டு, பின்பு இறைவனின் கோபத்திற்கு உள்ளாகி, இறைவனாலேயே தடுத்தாட்கொள்ளப்பட்டு, அனைத்தும் இறைவனே என்று புரிந்துகொண்ட தேவர்கள், இப்படி ஒரு பிழை செய்துவிட்டோமே என்று கலங்கி இருக்கும்போது, இறைவன் கூறினான்: தேவர்களே, நீங்கள் கலங்க வேண்டாம். இறைவன்மேல் உண்மையான அன்பு வைத்தவர்கள் அனைவரும் சென்று சேருமிடம் அவனது திருவடிகளே. தக்கனது வேள்வியை அழித்தது அவனது அறியாமையை நீக்கி அவனை ஆட்கொள்ள வேண்டும் என்னும் கருணையினால்தான். தூய்மையான வாக்குடைய இறைவன் எது செய்தாலும் அது உயிர்களின் நன்மைக்கே ஆகும்.
உயிர்கள் மனம், வாக்கு, உடல் ஆகிய மூன்றையும் ஒன்றாக வைத்து இறைவனை வேண்டி இறையருளோடு பல செயல்களைச் செய்தாலும், சில சமயங்களில் அவை தோல்வியடைவதைக் கண்டு மனம் கலங்க வேண்டாம். அவை தோல்வியடைவதும் உயிர்கள்மேல் இறைவனுக்கு இருக்கும் மாபெரும் கருணையினால்தான். அதற்குப் பின்னரும் இறைவன் அடியவருக்கு வழங்கும் அருள் இருக்கும்.
The devas, who had joined without the Lord's grace in Daksha's sacrifice, and afterward come under the Lord's anger, been subdued and taken as his own by the Lord, and come to understand that everything is the Lord himself, stood troubled at having committed such a fault, and the Lord said, "Devas, do not be troubled. His feet are where all who hold true love for the Lord finally arrive. His sacrifice was destroyed only out of the compassion to remove Daksha's ignorance and take him as his own. Whatever the Lord, whose word is pure, does, is only for the good of souls."
Even when souls hold mind, speech and body as one, plead with the Lord, and perform many acts with his grace, do not be troubled to see them sometimes fail. That failure too comes only from the great compassion the Lord holds for souls, and beyond it too lies the grace the Lord grants his devotee.

Whatever the pure-worded Lord does is only for the good of souls; do not be troubled if an act done with his grace fails, for his grace still follows even after that.
