உரைmeaning
திருமால், பிரம்மன், தக்கன், சூரியன், அவனுடன் வரும் சந்திரன், சரஸ்வதி, அக்கினி, தேவர் தலைவனான இந்திரன் ஆகிய தேவர்களின் தலை, முகம், மூக்கு, சிறப்பான கைகள், அவற்றைத் தாங்கும் தோள்கள் ஆகியவை, இறைவனின் அருள் இன்றி அறியாமையில் தக்கன் செய்த யாகத்தில் கலந்துகொண்டதால், இறைவனின் சினத்தால் அழிந்தன. பிறகு தம் பிழையை உணர்ந்து இறைவனை வேண்ட, அவற்றை மீண்டும் நலமுடன் பெற்றார்கள்.
பாடல் #357ல் உள்ள உட்கருத்தின்படி, அறியாமையால் செய்யும் தவறுகளை உணர்ந்து தம்மைத் திருத்திக்கொண்டு இறைவன் அருள் பெற்ற உயிர்கள், இறைவனை அடையும் வழிகளான பக்தி, யோகம், கர்மம் ஆகிய மார்க்கங்களை மீண்டும் இறையருளால் மேற்கொண்டு இறைவனை அடையலாம்.
The heads, faces, noses, fine hands and the shoulders that bore them, belonging to the devas Vishnu, Brahma, Daksha, Surya together with Chandra, Saraswati, Agni and Indra the lord of the devas, were destroyed by the Lord's wrath because, without his grace and in ignorance, they had taken part in Daksha's sacrifice. Afterward, realizing their fault, they pleaded with the Lord and received them all back sound again.
As in the inner reading of verse 357, souls who realize the faults they commit out of ignorance, correct themselves, and receive the Lord's grace, may take up again, by that same grace, the paths of bhakti, yoga and karma by which one reaches the Lord, and so attain him.
