உரைmeaning
இறைவனை அழிக்கத் தக்கன் செய்த மாபெரும் யாகத்தில், மந்திரங்களுக்குக் கட்டுப்பட்டு அவிர்பாகங்களை ஏற்க வந்த பிரம்மனும் தேவர்கள் அனைவரும், தத்தம் தொழில்களைப் பரிசாகப் பெற்றனர். அந்தத் தொழில்களைச் செய்யும் சக்தியாகவும் இருப்பவன் இறைவனே; அவனை அழிக்கவே யாகத்தில் மாபெரும் அக்னி வந்தது அதிசயமாகத் தோன்றினாலும், தீயாகவும், தீயை வளர்க்க யாகத்தில் இடும் பொருட்களாகவும், அப்பொருட்களின் தன்மையாகவும், அவற்றை ஏற்று ஆவியாக்குபவனுமாக இருப்பவன் இறைவனே.
உயிர்கள் நல்செயல்கள் செய்தால் நல்வினைகள் சேர்ந்து சிவனின் அருள் கிடைக்கும்; தீய செயல்கள் செய்தால் தீவினைகள் சேர்ந்து அதற்கான தண்டனைகள் கிடைக்கும். இவை அனைத்திலும் சிவன் அணுவாய்க் கலந்திருப்பான். அனைத்தும் இறைவனே ஆவதால், நல்லவையானாலும் தீயவையானாலும், அவனின்றி எந்தச் செயலும் நிகழாது.
In the great sacrifice Daksha performed to destroy the Lord, Brahma and all the devas, bound to the mantras, came to receive their shares, and each was granted his own office as a gift. It is the Lord himself who is the power behind those very offices; and though it may seem strange that a great fire arose in the sacrifice meant to destroy him, it is the Lord who is the fire itself, the offerings placed in it to feed the fire, the nature of those offerings, and the one who receives them and turns them to vapour.
When souls do good acts, good karma accrues and Shiva's grace comes to them; when they do evil acts, evil karma accrues and the punishments due to it come to them. In all of this, Shiva is mingled as fine as an atom. Since everything is the Lord himself, whether good or evil, no act at all happens without him.

He is also the one who receives them and turns them to vapour. Since he is mingled atom-fine in both good karma and evil, no act happens without him.
