  கடலைப் போல வலிமை கொண்ட பிரம்மனும் திருமாலும் இருவரும்,

  Brahma and Vishnu, both mighty as the sea,

• வரி 2Line 2

  நெடுங்காலம் ஒளி வடிவாக இருக்கும் ஆதி இறைவனை வழிபட்டனர்.

  worshipped for a long age the primal Lord who stood in the form of light.

• வரி 3Line 3

  அதற்காக இறைவன் திருமாலுக்குச் சக்ராயுதத்தைக் கொடுத்தான்.

  For this, the Lord gave Vishnu the discus.

  அதே வழியில் பிரம்மனுக்கு வாளையும் கொடுத்து அருளினான்.

  In the same way he graciously gave Brahma the sword.
