• வரி 1Line 1

  தீவினையைச் செய்பவர்கள், தமக்கும் தீயதாகிய மதுவைக் குடித்துக் குடித்து அழிந்து போவார்கள்.

  Those who do evil deeds go on drinking and drinking the liquor that is evil to them too, and are destroyed.

• வரி 2Line 2

  காம எண்ணம் கொண்டவர்கள், அந்தக் காமத்தையே மதுவாகக் குடித்து அதிலேயே மயங்கிக் கிடப்பார்கள்.

  Those who hold thoughts of lust drink that very lust as their liquor, and lie clouded in it alone.

  அப்படி இல்லாமல், தவ வழியில் ஹோமம் வளர்த்து இறைவனை வழிபடுபவர்கள், தமக்குள்ளேயே பேரொளியாக இறைவனின் பேரானந்தத்தை உணர்வார்கள்.

  Those who instead go by the way of penance, raise the homam and worship God, will realise within themselves, as a great light, the great bliss of God.

  இறைவனது திருநாமத்தை மட்டுமே எப்போதும் சிந்தித்து ஓதிக்கொண்டே இருப்பவர்கள், இறைவனோடு பேரானந்தத்தில் கலந்துவிடுவார்கள்.

  And those who at all times contemplate and recite only the holy name of God will merge with him in that great bliss.
