நடுவுநின் றார்க்கன்றி ஞானமும் இல்லைநடுவுநின் றார்க்கு நரகமும் இல்லைநடுவுநின் றார்நல்ல தேவரும் ஆவர்நடுவுநின் றார்வழி நானும்நின் றேனே.
உரைmeaning
தனக்கோ, உற்றார் உறவினர்க்கோ, மற்ற உயிர்கள் வாழும் உலகத்திற்கோ என்ன நடந்தாலும், இன்பம் துன்பம் என எது வந்தாலும், எல்லாம் இறை செயல் என்று எதனாலும் பாதிக்காமல், விருப்பு வெறுப்பு இல்லாமல், தான் செல்லும் இறை வழியிலிருந்து சிறிதும் மாறாமல் நடுநிலையான மனநிலையில் இருப்பவர்களைத் தவிர, மற்றவர்களுக்கு உண்மையான ஞானம் கிடைப்பதில்லை. அப்படி இருப்பவர்களுக்கு நரகமும் இல்லை. அப்படி இருக்கக்கூடியவர்களே நல்ல தேவர்களாகவும் இருப்பார்கள். அப்படிப்பட்டவர்கள் நின்ற நெறியிலேயே யானும் நிற்கின்றேன்.
Whatever happens to oneself, or to one's kin and relatives, or to the world where all other beings live, and whatever comes, whether pleasure or pain, there are those who take it all as the working of God, remain unaffected by any of it, hold neither liking nor disliking, and do not swerve in the least from the path of God they walk, standing in an even state of mind. Apart from such people, true wisdom does not come to anyone. For those who stand so there is no hell either. It is those able to stand so who will also be the good devas. And in the very path where such people have stood, I too stand.
