  தெய்வங்களுக்கெல்லாம் மேலான தெய்வம் ஒருவன் சிவன் என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்ளத் தனக்குள் பேசிக் கேள்வி கேட்டு,

  Asking questions within oneself in order to come to know that Shiva is the one God who stands above all other deities,

  கேள்வி ஞானத்தின் மூலம் பெரிய தவம் புரிந்த மானிடர்கள் தேவர்களாவதற்கு

  for the humans who have performed great penance through that wisdom of questioning, so that they may become gods,

• வரி 3Line 3

  மகிழ்ந்து அருள் செய்கிறார்,

  he grants his grace with joy,

• வரி 4Line 4

  தவக் கோலத்தையே தனது கோலமாக உடைய ஆதியிலிருந்து இருக்கும் சிவபெருமான்.

  that Shiva who has existed from the beginning, whose very form is the form of penance itself.
