  தாம் முன்பு எடுத்த பிறவியையும், அந்தப் பிறவியில் இறந்த விதத்தையும் அறியாத உயிர்கள்,

  Souls who do not know the births they have taken before, nor the manner of their deaths in those births,

• வரி 2Line 2

  தாம் கொண்ட சிற்றின்ப அன்பிலேயே இறைவனைத் தெரிந்து கொண்டோம் என்று சொல்லுவார்கள்.

  will say that they have come to know God through the lesser love they hold.

  பேரின்பத்தையும் கொடுத்து பிறவியில்லாத வாழ்வைக் கொடுப்பவன், பிறப்பும் இறப்பும் இல்லாத இறைவன்.

  But the one who gives supreme bliss and a life free of further birth is God, who himself has neither birth nor death.

  அவனைத் தூய்மையான அன்பின் மூலம் அறிந்து கொள்ளாமல் இவர்கள் இருக்கின்றார்களே!

  And yet these souls remain without coming to know him through pure love!
