உயிர்களை இவ்வுலகில் படைப்பதற்கு முன்பே, அன்பையும் அதன் மூலம் கிடைக்கும் இன்பத்தையும் படைத்த முதல்வனாகிய இறைவனைத் தூய அன்பினால் கண்டு உணர முடியாதவர்கள், கேடு நிறைந்த இந்தப் பெரிய உலகில் உலகப் பற்றுக்களின் மேலேயே அன்பு வைத்து, இந்த விரிந்த உலகத்திலேயே கிடந்து துன்பப்படுகின்றனர்.
Those who cannot see and realize with pure love the primal God, who created love and, through love, the happiness it brings, even before he created living beings in this world, remain lying in this vast world, in this world so full of ruin, fixing their love only on worldly attachments, and suffer there.
