  உலகில் உள்ள அனைத்தும் தோன்றுவதற்கும் அழிவதற்கும் காரணமான, குற்றமற்ற புகழுடைய இறைவன்,

  God, blameless and full of glory, the cause behind everything in the world coming into being and everything perishing,

  நீதிநெறி தவறி அறம் கடைபிடிக்காமல் வாழும் உயிர்களுக்கு இன்பத்தை நினைத்துப்பார்க்கக் கூட விடமாட்டான்.

  will not even let those who live straying from justice, without holding to dharma, so much as think of happiness.

  பசியோடு வருபவர்களுக்கு உணவு அளித்தும், இல்லாமை கூறி வருபவர்களுக்குத் தம்மால் இயன்றதைக் கொடுத்து உதவியும் வாழ்வதே இன்பம் தருவது என்பதை உணர்ந்து அப்படியே வாழுங்கள்.

  Realize that true happiness comes from feeding those who come hungry, and from giving what one can to help those who come saying they lack, and live accordingly.

  இதற்கு மாறாகப் பிற உயிர்களுக்குத் துன்பம் தரும் செயல்களைச் செய்து வாழ்வது, விலங்கின் வாழ்க்கையைப் போன்றதே ஆகும்.

  To live otherwise, doing deeds that bring suffering to other living beings, is no different from the life of an animal.
