• வரி 1Line 1

  வினையின் பயனால் மீண்டும் மீண்டும் பிறக்கும் பிறவி ஒரு பெரும் கடலைப் போன்றது;

  The cycle of birth, born again and again as the fruit of karma, is like a vast sea;

• வரி 2Line 2

  இந்த வினை அவ்வளவு விரைவில் தீர்ந்துவிடாது. இந்த வினையாகிய பிறவிக்கடலைக் கடந்து இறைவனை அடையும்வரை சோர்வடையாதிருக்க இரண்டு வழிகள் உண்டு;

  this karma does not resolve itself quickly. There are two ways to cross this sea of birth that is karma, without growing weary, until one reaches God:

  அறவழியும் தவவழியும்தான் அவை.

  the path of dharma and the path of austerity, these two.

• வரி 4Line 4

  அறத்தைக் கடைப்பிடிப்பவர்களுக்கும் அவரைப் பின்பற்றுவோர்க்கும், பிறவியில்லாத மேன்மையான முக்திக்கு வழிகாட்டித் துணையாய் இருப்பான் குற்றமற்ற புகழுடைய இறைவன்.

  For those who hold to dharma, and for those who follow them, God, blameless and full of glory, will himself be the guide and companion toward the exalted liberation that ends birth.
