  முன்பிறவியில் செய்த அறத்தினாலும் தவத்தினாலும்தான் இப்பிறவியில் மனிதப் பிறவியும் கிடைத்திருக்கிறது.

  It is only through the dharma and the austerities performed in a former birth that one has gained this human birth as well.

  இந்த உண்மையை அறிவின் மூலம் உணர்ந்து, அறிவையே தெய்வமாகக் கருதி, அந்த அறிவின்படி இப்பிறவியிலும் அற வழிகளிலும் தவ வழிகளிலும் நடப்பவர்கள்தான் உண்மையான மனிதர்கள்.

  Those who realize this truth through their own wisdom, hold that wisdom itself as their deity, and walk, in accordance with that wisdom, the paths of dharma and of austerity in this birth too, are the true human beings.

  உடலையே தெய்வமாகக் கருதி, ஆசைகளுக்கு அடிமையாகி, தருமவழியில் செல்லாமல் வாழும் எல்லா உயிர்களுக்கு,

  But for every living being that regards the body itself as its deity, becomes a slave to its desires, and lives without walking the path of dharma,

  'நானே தெய்வம்' என்று சொல்லி எமதர்மன்தான் உயிரை எடுக்க வருவான்; இறைவன் வரமாட்டான்.

  it is Yamadharman who comes to take its life, declaring 'I myself am your deity', not God.
