உரைmeaning
தான் ஏற்ற வேடத்திற்குரிய வழிமுறைகளின்படி நடக்க இயலாதவர்கள் அந்த வேடத்தை அணிந்திருப்பதால் எந்தப் பயனும் இல்லை. தான் ஏற்ற வேடத்திற்குரிய வழிமுறைகளின்படி நடப்பவர்களே உண்மையாக அந்த வேடத்தை தரித்தவர்கள். தான் ஏற்ற வேடத்திற்கு ஏற்ற வழியில் நடவாத வேடதாரிகளை, அந்த நாட்டை ஆளும் வலிமைமிக்க அரசன் கண்டுபிடித்துத் தண்டித்து, வேடத்திற்கு ஏற்றபடி நடக்கச்செய்தால், அது அரசனுக்கே முக்தியை வழங்கிவிடும்.
குறிப்பு: அந்த நாட்டில் வாழும் மக்களில் சிலர் விவசாயம், துணி நெய்தல், மண்பாண்டம் செய்தல் போன்ற பல தொழில்களுக்கு ஏற்ற வேடத்தை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, அந்தந்த வேலையைச் செய்யாமல் சோம்பேறிகளாக இருப்பர். அவர்களை அரசன் கண்டுபிடித்து, தன் வலிமையால் தண்டித்து, அவர்கள் ஏற்ற வேடத்திற்குரிய தொழிலை அவர்களைச் செய்ய வைத்தால், அது அவர்களுக்கும், அவர்களைச் சுற்றியுள்ளோருக்கும், நாட்டுக்கும் நன்மை தரும். இதைச் செய்த பயனால் அரசனுக்கு முக்தி கிடைக்கும்.
There is no benefit in wearing a guise whose ways one cannot follow. Only those who live by the ways proper to the guise they have taken up are truly wearing that guise. If the mighty king who rules the land finds out those who wear a guise but do not live by its proper ways, punishes them, and makes them live up to that guise, this itself grants the king liberation.
Note: some among the people of that land take up the guise of a trade, such as farming, weaving cloth or making pottery, and yet remain idle without doing the actual work. If the king finds such people out, punishes them by his own strength, and makes them carry out the trade proper to the guise they took up, it brings good to them, to those around them and to the land. And it is by doing this that the king attains liberation.
