வேதாந்த ஞானம் விளங்கும் விதியிலோர்நாதாந்த போதம் நணுகிய போக்கதுபோதாந்த மாம்பரன் பாற்புகப் புக்கதால்நாதாந்த முத்தியும் சித்தியும் நண்ணுமே.
உரைmeaning
வேதங்களையும் அவற்றின் பொருளாகிய வேதாந்தங்களையும் குருவின் வழி கற்று ஞானம் பெறும் வாய்ப்பைத் தமது கர்மவிதியால் அடைய இயலாதவர்கள், ஓம் என்னும் நாதத்தின் முடிவான ஞானத்தை அளிக்கும் குருவின் போதனைகளைச் சரணடைந்து கற்று உணர்ந்து அதன்படி நடந்தால், அதுவே அவர்களை இறைவனின் திருவடியில் கொண்டு சேர்க்கும் அருளை வழங்கி, ஓம் என்னும் நாதத்தின் முடிவான முக்தியையும் ஞானத்தின் முடிவான சித்தியையும் அவர்களுக்கு அளிக்கும்.
கருத்து: தம் கர்மவிதியால் வேதங்களையும் வேதாந்தங்களையும் கற்று உணர்ந்து அவற்றின் மூலம் இறைவனை அடையும் வாய்ப்பு இல்லாதவர்கள், குருவின் திருவடிகளைச் சரணடைந்து அவர் காட்டிய வழியில் நடந்தாலே போதும்; அதுவே அவர்களை இறைவனிடம் கொண்டு சேர்த்து, அவர்களுக்கு வேண்டிய ஞானத்தையும் முக்தியையும் அளித்துவிடும்.
Those who, by the working of their own karma, cannot receive through a guru the wisdom that comes from learning and grasping the Vedas and their meaning, the Vedanta, if they surrender to a guru who grants the wisdom that is the end of the sound Om, learn and grasp his teaching and live by it, this itself will grant them the grace that leads them to God's holy feet, and give them the liberation that is the end of the sound Om and the siddhi that is the end of wisdom.
The gist: those who, by their own karma, have no opportunity to learn and grasp the Vedas and the Vedanta and thereby reach God, need only surrender at a guru's feet and walk the path he shows; that alone will bring them to God and grant them the wisdom and liberation they need.
