உரைmeaning
வேதத்தின் பொருளான வேதாந்தங்களைக் குருவின் வழி கற்று உணர்ந்தே வேதங்களை ஓதுகின்றவர்கள், அவற்றின் பொருளை உணர்ந்து தமக்குள் இருக்கும் இறைவனை உணர்ந்து இறைவனாகவே மாறிவிட்டால் -- இறைவன் அருளிய வேதமும் இறைவனும் வேறல்ல, இரண்டும் ஒன்றே -- அவர்கள் வாய்ச்சொல்லில் சொல்வதெல்லாம் நிகழும். மற்ற உயிர்கள் மாயையால் இறைவனை அடைய முடியாதபடி தடுக்கும் குறைபாடுகள் என்னவென்றும் அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியும். பூணூல், குடுமி, உருத்திராட்ச மாலை, விபூதிப் பட்டை, அங்கவஸ்திரம் போன்றவற்றை அணிந்து அந்தணர் போலக் காட்டிக்கொள்வது வெறும் ஆரவார ஆடம்பரமே என்பதை அறிந்தவர்களே உண்மையாக வேதங்களைக் கற்று உணர்ந்த அந்தணர்கள்.
Those who chant the Vedas only after learning and grasping through a guru the Vedanta that is the meaning of the Vedas, if they realise that meaning and know the God dwelling within themselves and become God (the Veda that God granted and God himself are not separate, the two are one), then whatever they say with their own mouth comes to pass. They also know the very flaws by which maya keeps other beings from reaching God. Those who know that wearing the sacred thread, the tuft, the rudraksha garland, the sacred-ash stripe and the sacred cloth to make oneself look like a brahmin is mere noisy show: they alone are the brahmins who have truly learned and grasped the Vedas.
