வரி வாரியாகline by line

• வரி 1Line 1

  அறிந்த கருத்துக்களான சித்தாந்தமும் அறியாத கருத்துக்களான அசித்தாந்தமும் இல்லாத குரு காட்டிய வழியில் குருவின் பாதங்களைச் சரணடைந்து,

  Those who have surrendered at the feet of a guru free of both known concepts (siddhanta) and unknown concepts (asiddhanta), following the path such a guru has shown,

  தினந்தோறும் செய்யும் கர்மங்களையும் நியமங்களையும் விட்டுவிட்டு, குருபதம் சேர்ந்து,

  who have given up their daily rites and observances, and taken refuge at the guru's feet,

• வரி 3Line 3

  வெளியுலகைக் காணாமல் தமக்குள்ளேயே தியானித்து,

  who meditate within themselves without perceiving the outer world,

• வரி 4Line 4

  சமாதி நிலைகளில் நான்காவதான துரிய சமாதி நிலையை -- அனைத்தையும் இறைவனாகவே காணும் நிலை -- அடைந்திருப்பவர்களே தூய வேதங்களின் வழியில் வாழும் அந்தணர்கள் ஆவார்கள்.

  and who have attained turiya samadhi, the fourth of the states of samadhi, the state of seeing everything as God alone: these are the brahmins who live by the pure ways of the Vedas.
