உரைmeaning
உயிர்களின் வயிறு ஒரு பொய்யான குழி போன்றது; பசி வரும்போது உணவு சாப்பிட்டு பசி தீர்ந்தது போலத் தோன்றினாலும், மீண்டும் சில மணி நேரத்திலேயே பசிக்கத் தொடங்கிவிடும். இப்படிப் பொய்யாக இருக்கும் வயிறு என்னும் குழியை நிரப்ப, உணவு எங்கே கிடைக்கும் என்று உயிர்கள் தினமும் தேடி அலைகின்றன. பொய்யான வயிற்றுப்பசியைப் போக்க உணவு தேடும் உயிர்கள், தமது பசியை எப்படித் தீர்த்துக்கொண்டாலும், எந்த வேலை செய்தாலும், எப்படிப் பொருள் சம்பாதித்தாலும், அதிலேயே மூழ்கியிராமல், இறைவனைப் போற்றிப் புகழ்ந்து வழிபடவும் நேரம் ஒதுக்கவேண்டும். அப்படிச் செய்தால் பிறவியோடு வந்த மும்மலங்களாகிய ஆணவம், கன்மம், மாயை என்னும் அழுக்குகளும் நீங்கி உள்ளம் தெளிவுபெறும்; உள்ளம் தெளிவுபெற்றவுடன் பிறவிப் பசியும் அப்போதே தீர்ந்து, இனி பிறவியே இல்லாத மோட்ச நிலை கிட்டிவிடும்.
The belly of a living being is like a false pit. When hunger comes and one eats, the hunger seems to be satisfied, but within a few hours it begins again. To fill this false pit that is the belly, beings wander searching every day for whatever food they can find. Those who search for food to quiet the false hunger of the belly must, however they satisfy that hunger, whatever work they do, and however they earn their wealth, not remain sunk entirely in that pursuit, but set aside time to praise, glorify and worship God. In doing so, the impurities born with them, the three malas of anava (ego), karma and maya, will depart and the heart will grow clear; once the heart is clear, the hunger of rebirth itself is satisfied, and the state of liberation with no more birth is attained.
