  விளையும் பயிரை பாசி படிந்த குளத்தின் அடியில் நட்டால், அது விளையாமல் பாசியோடு பாசியாகி அழிந்துபோகும்; அதே குளத்தைப் பாசி நீக்கித் தூர்வாரி நீரைச் சேமித்தால், அந்த நீர் பெரும் விளைச்சலுக்கு உதவும்.

  If a food-bearing crop is planted at the bottom of a pond thick with moss, it will not grow but perish, turning to moss along with the moss; if the same pond has its moss cleared and the water dredged and stored, that water will yield a great harvest.

  அதுபோலவே, இல்லறத்தின் மூலம் பிள்ளைகள் பெற்று சந்ததி வளர உதவும் விந்துவை, பொது மகளிரின்மேல் மோகம் கொண்டு அவர்களின் பாசி படிந்த கருவறைக்குள் நட்டுவைத்து அதில் இன்பம் காணுபவரை,

  In the same way, a man infatuated with public women who plants his seed, which by right should be used within household life to father children and raise a lineage, into their moss-covered wombs and takes pleasure there,

  உண்மை அறிவுள்ளவர்கள் தடுத்து அவர்களின் மயக்கத்தைப் போக்க முயலாவிட்டால்,

  if those with true wisdom do not stop him and try to dispel his delusion,

  தம் குலமும் தம்மால் பிறக்க வேண்டிய நலமும் கெட்டு, பல இழிவுகள் ஏற்பட்டு, பின்பு அவர்கள் அழிந்தும் போவார்கள்.

  his lineage and the good that should have been born through him will be ruined, many disgraces will follow, and in the end he too will perish.
