The king who thinks that the wealth of this world alone is glorious, and wishing to increase it further and further, marches his armies upon many lands and amasses great wealth; the one who takes the small knowledge that flashes now and then in the darkness of ignorance, like the light of lightning that appears now and then in a dark sky, to be a great thing, making a show of knowing everything; and the one who, seeing beautiful women who look timidly upon men, is dazzled and falls into infatuation with their beauty, even though he knows that his own wisdom will turn to darkness: these three, once caught in their infatuation, are unable to change their own thinking.
