  புத்தியை மயக்கும் கள்ளைக் குடித்தலும் சேர்ந்து, இந்த ஐந்தும் உயிர்கள் செய்யக்கூடிய பாவங்களிலேயே மிகப் பெரிய பாவங்களாகும்.

  together with drinking intoxicating liquor that clouds the mind, these five are the greatest of all the sins that beings can commit.

  இந்தப் பாவங்களைச் செய்யாமல், இறைவனது திருவடிகளைத் தமது சிந்தனையில் வைத்து இறைவனைப் பற்றிய எண்ணங்களிலேயே திளைத்திருப்பவர்களுக்கு,

  Those who avoid these sins and hold God's holy feet in their thoughts, dwelling always in thoughts of God,
