• வரி 1Line 1

  பிற உயிர்களைக் கொன்றுவிடு, குத்திவிடு என்று கொலைவெறி கொண்டு கூறும் மிருகத்தன்மையுடையவர்களை,

  Those who, gripped by a killing fury, cry out to slaughter and stab other beings and so carry the nature of beasts,

  வலிமையாக அடிக்கும் எமனின் தூதுவர்கள் வந்து வலிமையான பாசக்கயிற்றால் கட்டி,

  are seized by Yama's messengers, who strike them hard and bind them with the strong noose,

• வரி 3Line 3

  அடிக்கடி நில், செல் என்று மாறி மாறி அதட்டி இழுத்துச் சென்று, எப்போதும் எரிந்துகொண்டிருக்கும் நரகத் தீயில் கொண்டுபோய்,

  alternately barking 'stop' and 'go', dragging them along until they bring them into the ever-burning fire of hell,

• வரி 4Line 4

  இங்கேயே நில் என்று அந்தக் கொடிய வெப்பமான தீயினுள்ளேயே நிறுத்திவிடுவார்கள்.

  and there, saying 'stand here', leave them standing forever within that cruel, burning heat.
