குருவாக இருந்து இறைவனின் திருவடிகளைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ள வழிகாட்டும் இறைவனுக்குச் செய்யும் பூஜைக்குப் பலவித மலர்கள் உள்ளன. உயிர்களின் உள்ளத்தால் கிடைக்கும் மலர்களும் உள்ளன. பிற உயிர்களைக் கொல்லாமை, ஐந்து புலன்களையும் அடக்கும் பொறியடக்கம், பொறுமை, இறைவனை அடையச் சிந்திக்கும் அறிவு, உண்மையை மட்டுமே பேசும் வாய்மை, உண்மையான தவம், அன்பு ஆகியவையே அந்த மலர்கள்; இவற்றுள் மிகச் சிறந்த மலர் கொல்லாமையே ஆகும். இறைவனைப் பற்றிய எண்ணத்திலிருந்து சிறிதும் மாறாத எண்ணமே இறைவனுக்குச் செய்யும் பூஜைக்கு மிகச் சிறந்த தீபமாகும். இவை அனைத்தையும் உணர்ந்து செயல்படும் உயிர் சென்று அமரும் இடம் தலை உச்சியில் உள்ள சகஸ்ரதளமாகும். அங்கே அமர்ந்த உயிர் இறைவனையே அடைந்து பேரின்பம் பெறுகின்றது.
Many kinds of flowers are offered in worship to God, who as the guru guides the soul to hold fast to his holy feet. There are also flowers that come from within a being's own heart. Not killing other beings, sense-control that restrains all five senses, patience, the wisdom that contemplates reaching God, truthfulness that speaks only truth, true penance, and love: these are those flowers, and among them the finest flower is non-killing itself. The thought that never wavers even slightly from the thought of God is the finest lamp for God's worship. Realising and living out all these, the soul goes and comes to rest at the crown of the head, the Sahasradala. Resting there, the soul reaches God himself and attains supreme bliss.
