உயிரின் கண்களில் பார்வையாய் இருப்பவனும், பார்க்கப்படும் பொருளாய் இருப்பவனும் இறைவனே. ஆனால் உயிர்கள் பார்க்கப்படும் பொருளின்மேல் மாயையால் ஆசைப்பட்டு உலக இன்பங்களில் ஈடுபட்டு வினைகளைச் சேர்ப்பதை, அந்த உயிரின் உள்ளிருந்தே இறைவன் அளந்துகொண்டிருப்பதை யாரும் உணரவில்லை. இறைவனை அடையும் வழிகளைத் தேடி, அதன் பயனாக விண்ணுலகில் இறைவனை அடைவதும், ஆசைகளுக்கு வயப்பட்டு அவற்றை அனுபவித்து அதன் பயனாகப் பல வினைகளைச் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டு அவற்றைத் தீர்க்க மீண்டும் மீண்டும் மண்ணுலகில் பிறப்பதும், உயிர்களின் எண்ணத்தின்படி, உடலின் இளமை நிலைத்திருக்கும் முப்பது ஆண்டுகளில் உயிர்கள் தேர்ந்தெடுக்கும் வழிகளிலேயே இருக்கிறது.
God alone is both the sight within the soul's eyes and the very object that is seen. But no one realizes that God himself, from within the soul, keeps count of how living beings, deluded by maya, desire the object seen, engage in worldly pleasures, and thereby accumulate karma. Whether one seeks the ways to reach God and, as a result, reaches him in the heavenly world, or falls under the sway of desires, indulges them, and as a result gathers many karmas that must then be resolved through birth again and again in this earthly world, both lie within the paths that living beings themselves choose, according to their own intent, during the thirty years in which the body's youth lasts.
