உரைmeaning
குழந்தையாக, இளைஞனாக, வயோதிகனாக என்று காலம் கழியக் கழிய உடல் மாறிக்கொண்டே இருப்பதைக் கண்டும், அதன் உண்மையை உணராதவர்களே இந்த உலகத்தவர். உலகத்தையும் தாண்டி எல்லா அண்டங்களிலும் கலந்திருப்பவனும், அதில் தோன்றும் அனைத்தையும் ஒருநாள் அழித்து ஆட்கொள்பவனுமான இறைவனின் திருவடிகளின் கீழே, எத்தனை காலமானாலும் கிடந்திருப்பதையே நான் விரும்புகின்றேன்.
உயிர்களின் உடல் காலம் செல்லச்செல்ல மாறி அழியக்கூடியது. அப்படி அழியும் உடலின்மேல் ஆசை வைக்காமல், என்றும் அழியாமல் எங்கும் வியாபித்திருக்கும் இறைவனின் திருவடிகளில் சென்றடைந்து, பேரின்பத்தில் கிடப்பதன்மேலேயே ஆசை வைக்க வேண்டும்.
The people of this world see the body change endlessly as time passes, from infant to youth to old age, yet do not realize the truth in it. As for me, I desire only to lie forever, however long it may take, beneath the holy feet of God, who pervades the world and every universe beyond it, and who one day destroys and takes unto himself everything born within them.
The body of every living being changes and perishes as time goes on. Do not set your desire on such a perishable body; instead, set your desire only on reaching the feet of the God who never perishes and pervades everywhere, and on lying there in supreme bliss.
