உரைmeaning
ஆண்களின் உடல் இளமையாக இருந்த காலத்தில், மென்மையான இயல்புடைய பெண்கள் அதை, கரும்பை உடைத்து அடிக்கரும்பிலிருந்து பெறும் சாறு போன்ற இனிமையாக நினைத்து விரும்பினார்கள். பூவின் அரும்பு போன்ற மென்மையான மார்புகளும் ஆலிலை போன்ற இடையும் உடைய அந்தப் பெண்களுக்கு, இன்று வயதாகி வலுவிழந்து சுருங்கிப்போன அதே ஆண்களின் உடல் எட்டிக்காய் போல் கசக்கிறது. முன்பு கரும்புச் சாறு போல இனித்ததும், இன்று எட்டிக்காய் போல கசப்பதும் ஒரே உடல்தான் என்பதை உணர்ந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.
நிலையில்லாத இந்த இளமையான உடலில் கிடைக்கும் சிற்றின்பத்தில் மூழ்கிவிடாமல், என்றும் நிரந்தரமான இறைவனால் கிடைக்கும் பேரின்பத்திலேயே மூழ்கி இருங்கள்.
In the days when a man's body was young, women of tender nature desired it, thinking it as sweet as the juice pressed from the base of a broken sugarcane stalk. To those same women, whose breasts were soft as flower buds and whose waists were slender as a fig-tree leaf, that man's body, now aged, weakened and shrunken, tastes as bitter as a nux-vomica fruit. Understand that the body which once was sweet as sugarcane juice and the body which is now bitter as the nux-vomica fruit are one and the same body.
Do not drown in the small pleasures that come from this impermanent, youthful body; instead, remain immersed always in the supreme bliss that comes only from the eternal God.
